Omicron infection spike and crowding could delay Royal Jordanian flights

There may be delays in flights due to crowding and shortages of cadres at airports, as well as a surge in Omicron variant cases, according to Royal Jordanian (RJ). RJ apologized to passengers on Sunday for any delays that may occur, adding that a number of its cadres tested positive for the Omicron variant. The airline stressed its commitment to providing its passengers with the best services and ensuring their safety.

Approximately 30,644 PCR tests collected countrywide resulted in a positivity rate of 6.9 percent, according to the ministry’s weekly brief. There were 1,768 active cases during the week, with 15 being admitted to hospitals. As of this week, 1,803 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 2,082 people have received a double-shot, down from 7937 last week.
